MunOpCo
Music Theatre is
now entering its’ 80th season of
presenting high-quality, affordable family entertainment. We are
the oldest Opera Company in the country
formed under a city Recreation Committee, and the sixth oldest Opera
Company of any kind in the United States. Our rich history combined
with our emphasis on “family” makes us a very unique
Arts organization.
Last year we
sent out a survey requesting your opinion on a move to a new facility.
We thank all those that responded. Your concerns were addressed,
and the Board of Directors feels we have found the perfect solution.
We are pleased to announce we have entered into an agreement with
the Valley of Allentown/Scottish Rite Cathedral to become a resident
Theatre Company. After 80 years, and through the diligent efforts
of our Artistic Director, Mr. Larry Williams, we now have a theatre
to truly call “home”.
Since this is a “new beginning” for MunOpCo, we have
taken the opportunity to restructure and streamline some of our operations.
The first change
you will notice is that we are no longer a “membership-based” organization.
Donors and Sponsors are now solicited on a “philanthropic” basis.
Current “memberships” will be honored through their
expiration date.
The next change
you will notice is the establishment of a permanent Endowment Fund.
This Endowment will ensure that MunOpCo will always have the means
to present our outstanding productions, continue and expand our
outreach programs and afford the finest equipment. Invest in MunOpCo
and become a permanent part of our success.
Contributions of any amount are gratefully accepted, but anyone contributing
$25 or more will receive our quarterly newsletter and will be
listed under the appropriate category in all of the 2007 programs.
If your company offers matching gift programs, just send us the
forms and we’ll do the rest!
All
donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
MunOpCo Music Theatre is a 501( c ) (3) charitable organization.
